A homage in meat form - what's the wurst that could happen?

Two diehard ‘Twilight’ fans from Frankfurt have created a Robert Pattinson-shaped sausage in homage to the young star.
Claudia Bänger and Anna von Aprilscherz decided on making the meaty tribute after watching the British actor in the hit vampire film.

Bänger said: “We both read the books and loved them, so we were really excited about the film coming out. When we went to the cinema and laid eyes on Pattinson, we thought he was amazing. Then Anna said, ‘He’s good enough to eat’, and I thought, what a great idea.
"We both love sausage, and we both love Rob, so why not combine the two?”
It seems it was love at wurst sight, and the two soon got under way with preparations.
With Pattinson now based in LA, the plan was in all probability the closest the two fans would get to actually meating their hero.
After getting together the ingredients and etching out a design, they started on the sausage.
Von Aprilscherz said: “I don’t know how Pattinson is to work with on set, but we found his sausage counterpart a real bratwurst to work with. We had real trouble getting the meat to stay in the right position, and when we eventually got round to grilling the sausage, the heat caused it to fall apart.”
Word quickly spread around Germany's large sausage-eating, vampire-loving population, and thousands have descended on the house to see the creation.
Bänger added: "It was like we had waved a magic wand or something, there were so many people here. Although we never washed the sausage so it quickly got smelly, it still made me proud to call myself a Frankfurter."
