The Press Assocation reports that Matthew McNulty, one of Rob’s co-stars in Little Ashes, revealed a bashful Rob on the set that was genuinely surprised by the attention he got pre-Twilight fame.
Matthew, who starred as film director Luis Benuel, said: “There were times when we’d have girls come on set just to get an autograph and he was as baffled as anyone - he was like, ‘Oh, right, OK’.”
Robert had worked on Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire at the time of filming, which gave him a small following, but nothing like what the 22-year-old has now.
Matthew said: “I think had it been after Twilight, it would have been a completely different story.”
