Is Rob Pattinson Most Popular? Exclusive Poll Results!

Robert Pattinson’s Twilight fans swarmed like a flock of, well, vampire bats and have sent a convincing message to Hollywood. Rob is by far the most popular young screen star today, and maybe the most popular among all of Hollywood's hunks.
In an Improper.com poll, Rob was pitted against four of young Hollywood’s top young stars: Zac Efron, Shia LaBeouf , Chris Pine and James Franco. It wasn’t even close.

Rob has racked up more than 35,000 votes, or 94.09 percent of all cast, to lead by an overwhelming margin. The next closest on the Hollywood hunk list is James Franco, with 1,224 votes, or 3.31 percent of the total.
Trailing them are Zac Efron with 610 votes, 1.62 percent; Shia LaBeouf with 298 voted, 0.79% and Chris Pine with 68 votes. 0.18 percent.
TheImproper.com conducted the poll after cast mate Mike Welch, claimed that Rob was more popular than President Obama. While the comparison with the president was a bit of a stretch, it raised the question: Just how popular is Pattinson because of the "Twilight" phenomenon. The Ulmer Scale, a marketing and research Web site that rates the popularity and bankability of more than 1,400 Hollywood stars, reports that Rob barely registers.
The most popular and bankable male star under 30 is Shia LaBeouf, followed by Zac Efron, and James Franco. Rob came in fourth, according to the latest ratings published last month.
But the Ulmer Scale apparently doesn’t take into account Twi's fervent devotion to Pattinson because of his role as Edward Cullen in “Twilight.” They overwhelmed TheImproper.com poll.
According to the Ulmer Scale, among all Hollywood male actors Will Smith, Brad Pitt and Johnny Dee are the top stars at any age. Others in the top 10 include Will Ferrell, Nicholas Cage, Russell Crowe and George Clooney. But no Rob.
Twi fans, however, are catapulting Rob to the top of Vanity Fair magazine’s “Most Handsome Man in the World” poll on its Web site.
The poll includes the world's biggest-name celebrities, such as Javier Bardem, David Beckham, Tom Brady, Hugh Jackman, Taylor Kitsch, Clive Owen, and Denzel Washington.
At last check, Rob was on top with 59 percent of the vote.
Only last week, Leonardo DiCaprio was leading followed by Johnny Depp, and Rob was third. But Twi fans flocked to their man and Pattinson leaped into the lead with more than 74,000 votes.
Brad Pitt is currently a distant second, with 11 percent of the vote and Depp is third with 10 percent of the vote.
The VF poll is a follow up to a similar survey in March, when it ask readers to pick the Most Beautiful Woman in the World. Angelina Jolie won handily.
Welch, who plays Mike Newton in the vampire saga, said Pattinson can’t stand in one place in public for more than five seconds without being mobbed by fans and well wishers.
"If he's in a room and he looks down and he looks back up, [in that instant] everyone in the room will be staring at him,” Newton told MTV.com. “It's kind of ridiculous. [That level of fame] is literally Rob Pattinson and Barack Obama."
If there was any doubt before, Twi fans have sent a loud and clear message about Tinsletown popularity.
