June 23, 2009, (Sawf News) - New Moon star Robert Pattinson was voted sexiest man on the planet by readers of Heat magazine, ahead of hunky usual suspects Brad Pitt, Zac Efron and Johnny Depp.
Pattinson "is obviously very easy on the eye, but a lot of his popularity has to be down to the character Edward he plays in Twilight - strong, brooding and tortured, basically most women's fantasy boyfriend," says Heat editor Julian Linley.
The 23-year-old London born actor is currently in New York on an eight week shooting schedule for the film Remember Me, directed by Allen Coulter. The romance drama also features Emilie de Ravin and Pierce Brosnan.
