Twilight star Robert Pattinson certainly has career options

Sad as that day will be, once The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and (crossed fingers) The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn are completed, Little Ashes and How to Be star Robert Pattinson has a lot of options.
Though he is “rumored” for a part in the up-coming film (another love story) Memoirs, no official confirmation as to his involvement with the project is yet available. Beyond Memoirs, and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Robert Pattinson’s future in films is as yet unknown (unless Breaking Dawn, like he said, will be made).

What we do know is that he has been busy filming The Twilight Saga: New Moon in Vancouver, and that’s not all. Sam Bradley, close friend to Rob (and amazing musician responsible for co-authoring “Never Think (Too Far Gone)” from the Twilight soundtrack – see here for more on Sam Bradley) told me that he and Rob have been spending a lot of time together – writing a new song. We also know that Rob has been playing with the idea of working on an Indie album, according to reports. What we don’t know is what the film world holds for Pattinson’s future.

Some have suggested that Rob would be great for the part of James Bond once Daniel Craig has done all he has wanted to. Tall, dark, mysterious, and (let’s just say it) British, some fans can’t imagine a more perfect next James Bond. Others disagree, saying that Rob’s admitted difficulty with stunt-work (as evidenced by his injury on the set of Twilight in attempting to do his own stunts in the James-Edward fight scene) would put him in harm’s way for a Bond film.

Others hope that Rob goes back to his roots, taking a role akin to fan-favorite Daniel Gale in The Bad Mother’s Handbook. Still others suggest that Rob may be well suited for a parody-type satirical film, within which his famous chuckle and boyish grin might gain yield over his swoon-stirring grimace.

And then there are also those that hope to see Rob get back to where it all began – his music. These people hope that Rob will pick up the guitar, lay his hands on those ivory keys, and open his cunning mouth to release the sounds they yearn to hear. These fans, and all for that matter, are lucky – in just a few short weeks, Rob’s musical gifts will be on wide display on three tracks of the How to Be soundtrack.

At present, Rob sits at a comfortable second place on the IMDb Starmeter (overtaken recently by Harold & Kumar’s Kal Penn), with Kristen Stewart at his near-next (third on the chart), as he reprises his role as Edward Cullen in what appears to be many Twilight fans’ favorite installment (or to others, least favorite) of the series – New Moon.

Be it action-packed James Bond, comedic relief, musician, or just (far from plain) Rob, one thing is for certain… he certainly has options.
