Official How To Be UK News
We’re excited to announce the release of How To Be in the UK! The film will be available from Network Releasing on DVD and iTunes download beginning 18 May 2009. The DVD is available for pre-order now from Amazon , Play and other DVD retailers. If you aren’t in the UK then don’t worry, the DVD will hopefully be available all over the world soon. You are welcome to order the UK version right away if you can't wait, but please check your DVD player is compatible.
Leading up to the UK DVD release, there will be several UK screenings of How To Be in May. We’re in the process of sorting a few final details, but see below for the list of dates and cinema locations, and stay tuned for updates, and hope to see you there!

Twilight DVD sales break record in Australia
Harry Potter, Batman and even Nicole Kidman have all been bitten by the Twilight phenomenon.
DVD and Blu-ray sales of the cult teenage vampire film have reached a record-breaking 264,077 in its first week on shelves in Australia.
It means Twilight is the best selling Sony Pictures Home Entertainment DVD title in the first week of release in the past five years, beating out Australia, The Dark Knight and the past two Harry Potter films.

Rob goes into local Blockbuster video unnoticed
Robert Pattinson celebrated the release of Twilight on DVD by visiting his local Blockbuster.
The British actor — who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the smash hit movie franchise — says he managed to go unnoticed in the video store, even though it was packed with Twilight fans.
“I had forgotten it was being released that day,” said the 22-year-old. “There were two families who had come with eight-or-nine-year old-daughters to get their DVD.
“They were standing in the line crying, and I stood watching what all this commotion was about.
“They didn’t now I was there or anything, and I was just thinking, ‘Wow, you’re crying about a DVD.’ It’s fascinating.”

Synopsis

No, we don’t mean the Twilight site We are talking about the UK marketing campaign to get people to buy the Twilight DVD…as if they needed encouragement!
I think we can safely say that the “real Cullen” version doesn’t come with the not so subtle hint at what to buy.

Twilight DVD Sales, Still #1
The Numbers web site is now reporting that the U.S. Twilight DVD sales ending March 29th have totaled 6,027,815 units, leaving Twilight still in the No. 1 position! Even more good news, this past weekend’s UK release has Twilight poised to send the numbers even higher. Variety is reporting that Twilight sold a total of 211,031 units in the UK on its release day earlier this week.
