The numbers are in and Little Ashes has had a successful opening weekend in the U.S. Variety is now reporting the estimates for this weekend as follows:
Regent Releasing’s “Little Ashes” posted a sturdy per-screen average of $6,416 as it grossed $77,000 from 12 runs.
Indiewire.com is describing the opening weekend as “descent” despite its limited release and reminds us all that it is really just the beginning for Little Ashes as many new theatres will be showing the film in the coming days and weeks.
Currently screening in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and San Francisco, “Ashes” expands to other major markets throughout the month of May including Seattle, Tampa, Boston, Portland, Washington, D.C., Ft. Lauderdale and St. Louis. The film is currently set to open in more than 30 markets.
