Robert Pattinson as Frank Sinatra?

A recent poll by People Magazine surely has a lot of fans talking -- would The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Robert Pattinson be a good Frank Sinatra?
According to the poll, he might if, they say, "he loses his fangs and nails a New Jersey accent."
Pitting Pattinson against the likes of Titanic and The Departed star Leonardo DiCaprio, Justin Timberlake, Joe Jonas, and Johnny Depp, the People poll asks readers to choose their favorite person for the part (vote here).
The film in question, according to People, is one to be directed by Martin Scorsese, beloved legend that he is. Entitled Sinatra, the film is slated for release in 2011. Scorsese, it should be mentioned, is a big fan of working with Leonardo DiCaprio (one of the poll's contenders). Seeing as how his last three Oscar nominations (including one win) came from films which starred DiCaprio, it is unlikely that he will choose someone else for the role in all reality (unless their collaboration on 2011's Cache gets in the way of it). You might remember them: The Departed (for which Scorsese won for "Best Achievement in Directing"), The Aviator, and Gangs of New York.
At any rate, were Scorsese to truly consider alternatives to DiCaprio, would Pattinson be a good choice for the part?
