"New Moon" Drama

Drama and backstabbing go hand in hand with success and the cast of New Moon has been blood-thirsty. From romantic confusion to the drive to create a bigger and better sequel to Twilight, nobody's willing to play nice.
In an attempt to attract buzz to the upcoming installment New Moon, the cast has showered new director Chris Weitz with compliments, yet hardly voiced appreciation for Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke who made the first film a blockbuster. Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen says, "When we shot Twilight, it felt like it was an indie. We were racing the clock. Catherine [Hardwicke] was fantastic, but with New Moon it felt like we had more time to play. The atmospheres were different. They were both great...in their own ways. I just think New Moon is going to be incredible." While Facinelli does in fact acknowledge Hardwicke, he assures that the sequel will surpass the original as a result of Weitz.
Similarly, Michael Welch, who plays Mike Newton, discusses the differences between the two directors, clearly favoring Weitz: "When we all got on the set the first day, [Weitz] gave us this packet of 30 to 40 pages of what he wanted the film to look and feel like—how he was going to shoot it, all of that stuff. The thing is, both Chris and Catherine—I don't want to say one is better than the other. They are polar opposites in terms of style. Catherine can only succeed in chaos, really. But Chris is the exact opposite; he's so calm and has all his stuff together. He really made this film great."
In the midst of director comparisons, romantic drama has reached new heights. According to OK! Magazine, Robert Pattinson has given Kristen Stewart an ultimatum: drop your boyfriend Michael Angarano or we're over. Although it seems Angarano and Stewart's romance has fizzled, the couple has yet to call it quits. Meanwhile, Stewart and Pattinson have been getting cozy, even shacking up together in a Hollywood bungalow after the MTV Movie Awards. Pattinson, who is currently stationed in New York filming the indie film Remember Me, is letting matters sit for the time being, allegedly giving Stewart the summer to make up her mind.
With New Moon hitting theaters November 20th, the drama that plagues the Twilight franchise can only increase in the upcoming months. And who knows what the set of Eclipse will have in store?
