Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth talk New Moon and Robert Pattinson

Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth were attached at the hip on their way into the A Time For Heroes celebrity carnival in LA yesterday afternoon. The girls have caught the Twilight fever — saying that seeing the boys was the highlight of the MTV Movie Awards and, as we gear up to announce the 2009 PopSugar 100, predicting that anyone from the blockbuster movie had the biggest year. Lo even reminisced about interviewing Robert Pattinson before he became such a big star, lucky girl. Lots more from their interview in the video and after the jump!
# Highlights from the MTV Awards: Lo: "I was excited to see all the Twilight guys and to see the New Moon sneak peek." LC: "Andy Samburg was amazing. He was one of the best hosts I've ever seen. It was good."
# LC on who had the biggest year: "Anyone in Twilight."
# Lo on Robert Pattinson: "I’ve met him. I interviewed him actually at the VMAs last year. I did red carpet for the CBS morning show, so he was one of my interviews. It was before Twilight came out and my editor was talking to me about it and I was like, 'I don’t even know what Twilight is,' and look how he's blown up!"

Robert Pattinson French Interviews plus Breaking Dawn Release Date?

These are French Interviews Rob did during Cannes:
Yellow lenses and pale complexion , Rob Pattinson stopped for a few minutes on the set of “New Moon” to talk with us about the successful franchise and his recent career.

Metrofrance : When we met you in Paris, You could walk freely in the street without being noticed. I guess things must have changed since !

Robert Pattinson : I can’t walk in the street anymore, except if I’m dressed up! (laughs). In fact it’s a relief to come back on a set.

Metrofrance : Were you surprised bu the huge success of the first sequel ?

Robert Pattinson : I am still surprised ! Even here, on the set. Yesterday, there were 300 people waiting to catch a glimpse of us. It’s absolutely crazy : everyday I talk to someone who loves it, or who knows someone who loves, Twilight” ! It’s so crazy that I don’t dare get outside. Even when I arrive at an airport, there’s always a custom officer to ask me an autograph for his daughter !

Metrofrance : Did you choose a different approach for Edward ?

Robert Pattinson : Yes a lot. I consider now he is a ghost, a thing out of Bella’s mind. I am more a memory than a character, which is very weird. I must give the impression that his world is about to collapse any second

Metrofrance : Are you going to sing again on the soundtrack ?

Robert Pattinson : I don’t think so, even if it’s too early to state it! Twilight’s soundtrack sold out so well that a lot of famous bands want to be part of it !

Metrofrance : You must have a lot of propositions. How do you choose the “good ones” ?

Robert Pattinson : My schedule is tight up to the end of the year, and all the roles I have chosen are completely different one from another. I can’t give you more details because all the contracts are not signed yet. But obviously, I don’t choose according to the type of film but according to the screenplay and the character. Only one thing matters : I must like them.

Metrofrance : When you were a child , were you fond of a particular actor ?

Robert Pattinson : As a kid, I didn’t know I was going to be an actor. So when I started, it took me 3 or 4 years to realize it was really my job. However if I had to choose, I would say Jack Nicholson and Jean-Paul Belmondo.

Metrofrance : Belmondo ?

Robert Pattinson : I like his being an anti hero, the kind of actor who seems to be self confident and who doesn’t mind assuming his feelings.

2nd Interview
Robert Pattinson: Everything happens so fast

Technikart Team was in charge of the daily report «SuperCannes» during the whole festival . She came across Robert Pattinson, the teenagers’ idol. This is a record of a Live interview

Technikart : What happened yesterday Rob ? We were told about a riot in the whereabouts of Carlton…

Robert Pattinson : Oh yes, there was one indeed (laughs but upset). I was having my lunch when about 700 people stuck in front of the restaurant’s entrance near the beach. It was kind of funny… I was carried by 3 bodyguards up to the car which was parked in front of. I was literally carried, I didn’t touch the ground. This is so weird.

Technikart : This is your life since about a year now ?

Robert Pattinson : Everything got more intense 6 months ago. It’ s difficult to handle it out, it’s too fast. I don’t have the necessary distance, not enough to be able to find a parade to all this mess.

Technikart : George Clooney has a trick to escape fans : he takes Brad Pitt with him.

Robert Pattinson : Oh yeah, I guess it must be efficient but you have to be friend with Brad Pitt…

Technikart : Is it not the case ?

Robert Pattinson : I don’t know him. But the thing with celebrity, you can’t fight it, it’s useless, you can’t run away . When it was something you were not looking froward all your life, something you have never dreamed of, you can freely not give a damn about it. They can shout my name, if they want to but I can ignore it. I didn’t sign a contract with Disney, no clause compels me to smile to photographs.

Technikart : How are you feeling about shooting a film knowing the next one, and also the next one and the next one are already on the draft ? How long are you still stuck into «Twilight» ?

Robert Pattinson : In fact, it’s pretty cool because my character can’t get old! To me It’s the key of this adventure. I’m not in the same situation as the Harry Potter characters , who spent 10 years of their lives in these movies. There’s nothing more frightening than signing up a contract for several movies but in fact in September I will have wrapped 3 of the 4 Twilight series . Only in a year. New Moon will be released in November, Eclipse next summer and Breaking Dawn at Xmas 2010. Soon I will be freed from my contract.

Technikart : How is it in Cannes, Rob ? Do you have fun ?

Robert Pattinson : So so… I would like to do some things. I am not doing anything. I hate being photographed. But I like the hotel…

Technikart : Which hotel is it?

Robert Pattinson : L’hôtel du Cap. It’s like a job. I have business lunches. I leave restaurants on board speed boats, I feel like James Bond, this is cool. However I will have time to attend Tarantino’s movie. But I guess the climbing of the red carpet will ruin everything. I already hate it. (he pretends he is in front of a crowd of imaginary photographs) «Yeah , all your fucking photos will be on the headline tomorrow !

Michael Sheen On New Moon

Michael Sheen talks to empireonline.com
In The Twilight Saga: New Moon, due out later this year, Michael Sheen takes the role of Aro, head vampire of an ancient coven that rules the vampire world. We talked to him recently, and asked for the lowdown on a bloodsucking role that's a far cry from his recent run of real-life figures.

"I'm all done on it; I had a great time," he told us. "It was nice to go in and not be playing the main part, just go in for a few days and play this really really extraordinary character. I remember I was thinking, 'Oh, there's a bit of a Child Catcher here [from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang]; bit of the Blue Meanie from The Yellow Submarine; bit of Olivier from Richard III. There was a bit of all kinds of stuff."

He also talked about director Chris Weitz.

"It was great to work with Chris Weitz; it was a really funny set, really relaxed. We had a lot of things in common, and hopefully we're going to work together again soon doing something. That might be the thing that I direct, I don’t know yet, you never know."

And the rest of the cast? "It was quite intimidating being on the set with so many young, beautiful people. That was quite extraordinary being the old, ugly one amongst loads of young, beautiful ones. It's not something I'm used to really. Not because I'm young and beautiful but usually there's loads of old, ugly people around me. It was quite encouraging to see how Robert and Kristin are committed to it, how much they put into it and how serious they are about it. They don't take it lightly at all so that was great to see."

So, from playing a werewolf in the Underworld movies to a vampire here, it sounds like Sheen's got the undead pretty much covered. One thing's for sure: his description of his character has got us interested. What do you think? Is he your Aro?

Billy Burke Talks Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

While a nation of Twi-hards might say otherwise, Twilight actor Billy Burke says there's just no truth to the rumors that Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are a couple.

Burke, who plays Stewart's on-screen father Charlie Swan in the wildly popular vampire movie series, said in no uncertain terms that he doesn't think the two are hooking up while at Melanie Segal's MTV Movie Awards gift suite this week.

"As far as I know, I'm gonna say bullsh*t," Burke asserted, according to E! Online. "I'm not buying it please!"

Burke, who admits to knocking a few back with RPattz in the Vancouver bars while the two were filming New Moon, adds that his co-star isn't nearly as glamorous as his millions of swooning female fans might assume.

"He's a goofball," Burke opines. "If people knew how much of a goofball he was, they wouldn't be falling all over the place. He doesn't take it all too seriously."

Robert Pattinson's Panetalla Nacional Mag Scans and Interview

EDIT: May 26, 9:22pm, I noticed in the scans that the translation posted has a few mistakes, where Rob talks Bayona basically they say he was a candidate for directing Eclipse but didn't get it and Rob goes on talking about how he likes Bayona's Movies and talks one of the actresses from his movies.sorry guys for not correcting it sooner.

P: Little Ashes is without a doubt a very different film from what you usually do, including what you’ve done your whole life.

R: That’s true. Little Ashes is a radically different piece of work from what I’ve done till now, and that’s exactly why I wanted to do it. Salvado Dali is a famous and respected person in the whole world and on top of that, personally, I love him.

P: What did you know about Salvado Dali before this film? And of Lorca and Bunuel?

R: I knew a bit about Dali. Well, more accurately, a tiny bit about his work, but I didn’t really know anything about him as a person. I forced myself to investigate him very deeply and I did a lot of research about him. I think I started to obsess a bit about him. I studied Lorca and Bunuel in school in London. I had a few notions about their work, like Dali, but I had no idea what they were like as just men.

P: What drew your attention about that period?

R: The artists who pushed themselves to the limit to create, even by destroying their own lives. I’d say that they would do pretty much anything to defend their vision of art in a society where the powers that be and other dark forces intentionally tried to repress their creative expression. But I also think that period is a lot about the beauty of those years, the way they dress.

P: You took on a character with a lot of sexual ambiguity: do you think, now you have become a fan phenomenon, it helps that some prejudiced people might see you in a different light with this movie?

R: I think so, after seeing the film, people might get a different impression than what they were expecting. I feel like they don’t really know who I really am, and in this job people make you out to be very exciting. But this does allow me to play various characters. This role is so different from Twilight that it draws attention, because, honestly, I don’t think that his sexuality would be that important. I hope that people’s ideas about Dali don’t rest on what people think about me.

P: What aspects of the Spanish culture does a young Londoner like you know?

R: I love the Spanish culture, and I know the country because I was on vacation in Madrid, Barcelona… It’s strange, but working on this film I got the sensation that Catalunya is different from the rest of Spain. I got the sensation that the Catalans are more proud of being Catalan than of being Spanish. I don’t know… but in general I like what I suppose everyone likes about the Spanish people, their way of living and how sociable they are. I really had a great experience with that during filming.

P: If a Spanish actor lives through this fan phenomenon, he practically can’t walk down a street. What does the American phenomenon entail?

R: About the same thing happened after Twilight. It’s funny because when I was in Spain filming Burnt Ashes, there were a few people who knew me and came to say hello because they had seen me in Harry Potter.

P: Has the fame changed you a lot or the people you know?

R: I think deep down, people don’t really change, but it has varied the way that my friends see me, even my family. It’s weird, because the truth is that people in your life repeatedly treat you differently. But you’ll always know who your true friends are. I hope that there will come a moment where they, my family, and myself will get back to normal, because they know me, they know who I am and we have the same dreams. I don’t have the feeling that I’ve changed, I think I’m the same.

P: Did you think that Twilight would be this successful?

R: No, the truth is that no one thought it would be like this.

P: Is it true that 8 to 10 year old girls ask you to bite them on the street?

R: I’ve been asked that question so many times (laughs). It’s just one more sign of how bizarre it all is.

P: You know that one day, the girl you’ll go out with will be one of the most famous women in the world. Do you think it will be a dilemma for you to wonder what her real motives might be?

R: Obviously if I go out with a girl, she’ll get pulled into the fame thing. In fact, even some of my ex girlfriends have been questioned. It’s crazy, but when I’ll go out with someone, that person will be introduced to a life that she won’t necessarily care for. That’s preoccupying. I think that any girl who isn’t part of this world would be scared.

P: Have you ever thought for a moment during these past months that the world has gone crazy?

R: Well, I try to keep going on normally, at least as best possible. What you have to do is just ignore everything. The truth? I go through life ignoring what’s going on to keep sane.

P: It’s crazy to think that the third part of Twilight will involve a Spanish director, Bayona.<----Wrong Translation Check the top for details!

R: I know Bayona. I so El Orfanoto and loved it, I thought the story was brilliant. I think he’s a very talented director and he’ll do a good job with the third part. And the protagonist seems like a very interesting girl.

P: Her name is Belen Rueda and she is Spanish.

R: Yeah, I looked her up on the Internet and I saw a few photos. As I said, she seems very, very interesting…

Marcus Foster talks Rob Pattinson's Unreleased Let Me Sign Version and NY Shows

Marcus Foster, co-author of the Twilight soundtrack's "Let Me Sign" (with Bobby Long) and singer and songwriter behind the lovely "I Don't Mind" and "Tumble Down" (which he said before he always enjoyed playing), has been keeping busy over in the U.K. with plans, according to his Twitter page, "as soon as I get my Visa sorted . . . to play lots more shows in America including L[.A.] and New York."

Meanwhile, Foster says that there "are always songs in the works." Continued Foster, "some have been stuck in my head like dead birds, but I'm currently working on two in the studio that sound good, and I still have loads I need to record. I wrote quite a few songs with Rob so I'm hopefully going to record some with him and possibly do some shows with him when I go to New York."

Speaking of Rob, Foster's song "Let Me Sign," which was sung by Pattinson but co-authored by Foster and Bobby Long was a big hit in the U.S., yet Bobby Long said that couldn't play it today if someone asked him to. I asked Foster whether he could, and he said "I have some recordings of me Bobby and Rob singing that song on New Years Day really drunk. They sound really good, I will probably only do that again if it was with them."

Rob Pattinson Interview with Technikart Magazine

Robert Pattinson causes a riot in Cannes: “I was carried by three bodyguards!”

Heartthrob Robert Pattinson, who has become a superstar thanks to the ‘Twilight’ saga, is in Cannes, and the least we can say is that he has fans absolutely everywhere, especially a few thousand on the Croisette (name that French give to Cannes), where every time he appears, he causes a riot.

Technikart magazine met the British star, who can’t get over the enthusiastic welcome which was given on the Croisette. Extracts.

“I was having lunch on the Carlton’s beach when 700 people crowded together at the entrance to the restaurant of the beach. It was funny, in a way… I was carried by three bodyguards to a car parked in front of the restaurant. They were literally carrying me; I wasn’t touching the ground anymore! It was really, really weird!”

“Everything has become more intense for six months, since ‘Twilight’ was released. It’s hard to handle what’s happening to me. I don’t have the necessary hindsight, even if only to find a way out to this situation. But this celebrity thing, you can’t fight it, it’s useless, you can’t avoid it. When it’s not something you desired during your whole life, or something you don’t aspire to, you’re free not to care about it. I didn’t sign for Disney. There’s not a stipulation which forces me to smile to the paparazzi.”

“Here, for the moment, it’s okay. I’d like to do things. But I don’t. I don’t like to be photographed. But I like the hotel… it’s the Hôtel du Cap. It’s like a job, I have business lunches. I leave restaurants in speedboat, like James Bond, it’s cool. I’m going to find time to see Tarantino’s movie. But I feel that being on the red carpet is going to ruin this pleasure too. I hate this in advance.”
