Robert Pattinson wishes he didn’t have to give so many interviews - because he wants to establish a “mystique” for himself.
The British actor is keen to follow in the footsteps of his idols Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando by ignoring the press.
But Pattinson says he can’t - because his contract requires him “not to shut up.”
He reveals, “The only way to establish any kind of mystique is to completely shut up and never talk to anyone. And I’m contractually obligated not to shut up.”Robert - who is currently in Vancouver, Canada preparing to shoot Twilight sequel New Moon - plays Spanish artist Salvador Dalí in upcoming biopic Little Ashes.
And he’s sure he only reason the flick is getting any kind of promotional push is that he’s in it.
“It’s nothing,” Rob, 22, told GQ magazine. “It would never have been released. I mean, that’s a terrible thing to say, but this was a movie where we didn’t even have stand-ins! We were scrambling, the entire time. We didn’t even have trailers.”
