Rob VS Zack In GQ Mag Covers plus E! Online Article

Just a friendly comparison here, folks. Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson was on the cover of the recently released April 2009 GQ Magazine while High School Musical hunk Zac Efron will be gracing the May 2009 GQ cover.

Alex Pappademas, who wrote the piece on Rob for GQ, also interviewed Zac. And, Peggy Sirota, who famously took the Vanity Fair photos of the Twilight cast and had Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in unforgettable clinches, aimed her camera at the young heartthrob and made him go through the paces as well, albeit without a partner.

Robert Pattinson: ‘I’m Not Allowed to Shut up!’

Robert Pattinson wishes he didn’t have to give so many interviews - because he wants to establish a “mystique” for himself.
The British actor is keen to follow in the footsteps of his idols Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando by ignoring the press.
But Pattinson says he can’t - because his contract requires him “not to shut up.”
He reveals, “The only way to establish any kind of mystique is to completely shut up and never talk to anyone. And I’m contractually obligated not to shut up.”Robert - who is currently in Vancouver, Canada preparing to shoot Twilight sequel New Moon - plays Spanish artist Salvador DalĂ in upcoming biopic Little Ashes.
And he’s sure he only reason the flick is getting any kind of promotional push is that he’s in it.
“It’s nothing,” Rob, 22, told GQ magazine. “It would never have been released. I mean, that’s a terrible thing to say, but this was a movie where we didn’t even have stand-ins! We were scrambling, the entire time. We didn’t even have trailers.”

The cult of Robert Pattinson

Robert Pattinson is finding there’s a downside to fame, says Alex Pappademas in GQ. As the devilishly handsome vampire Edward Cullen in the movie Twilight, based on the best-selling novel by Stephenie Meyer, he’s become an object of perverse fascination. Teenage girls mob him at autograph signings and leave giggling messages on his cell phone for “Edward.” Paparazzi follow him everywhere; recently they caught him in a gas station parking lot, quietly eating a takeout hamburger in his car. “I always thought I could hide,” he grumbles. Much of what he says gets taken out of context: Once, Pattinson joked about never washing his hair, thereby unleashing a flurry of stories about his awful personal hygiene. Sometimes the rumor mill just makes stuff up. “There’s this thing about my supposed girlfriend. There’s this one girl who’s consistently mentioned. It’s like, ‘He’s dating this Brazilian model.’ What’s her name? Annelyse? I’ve never met her.” If you see a juicy gossip item about him, he says, it’s guaranteed to be a lie. “There’s literally not a single [true] story that could be written about me. I never do anything. I don’t see people. I don’t even have people’s phone numbers. I almost don’t want to have a girlfriend in this environment.”
