Teen Vogue Features Exclusive How To Be Clips, Photos and Contest

Before his star turn as Edward Cullen in Twilight, Robert Pattinson sunk his teeth into How To Be, a dark comedy where he plays a quirky twenty-something musician on the verge of a quarter-life crisis that ends up spending his entire inheritance on a live-in life coach. After searching for a lead for nearly a year, director Oliver Irving says he instantly knew that Robert was the one when he showed up at a casting. And, according to Oliver, if it weren't for How to Be, we may never have come to know Robert as the ubiquitous blood-sucker. "Rob was thinking of giving up acting but wanted to try out an indie film where he could get into a character" he told us. Twilight fans worldwide should be thankful that this film came to be!
How to Be premieres on-demand on IFC Festival Direct beginning this Wednesday, but you can enter to win your own piece of the film right now -- we're giving away an autographed How to Be poster, plus an actual t-shirt and pair of sneakers worn by Robert in the film!

Newly Released Little Ashes Clip
Another new clip from "Little Ashes" has been unraveled. This clip which is posted exclusively at Apple follows a conversation between Javier Beltran's Federico Garcia Lorca and Matthew McNulty's Luis Bunuel. In it, Lorca recalls his younger year in Spain and why his experience there makes him unable to live in the country.
Set against the backdrop of Fascist Spain in 1922, the Regent Releasing drama follows three of the era's most creative young talents, Salvador Dali, Federico Garcia Lorca and Luis Bunuel. Setting off on a course to change their world, the three form a bond when they meet at university. But, their friendship becomes strained as Dali and Lorca's relationship develops into an unusual love affair.
Taking its title from Salvador Dali's 1927-28 painting Cenicitas, "Little Ashes" stars Robert Pattinson as Dali, Javier Beltran as Lorca and Matthew McNulty as Bunuel. This drama film from director Paul Morrison has been premiered at the 16th annual Raindance film festival in London back in October. It will get its limited U.S. release on May 8th

Star Magazine Features The Bad Mother's Handbook
Before he was winning hearts as Edward Cullen in the Twilight series, Robert Pattinson took a role playing a major geek to help pay his bills.
In the TV movie The Bad Mother's Handbook, which aired in the UK in 2007, Robert played geeky Daniel Gale — a clumsy, mumbling geek who hid behind black-framed glasses and his hair (that hung over his face for most of the movie). However, despite his bad outfits and nerdiness, he's still a charmer — and even has a kissing scene!

Once upon a time, Robert Pattinson was a shaggy-haired virtual unknown, best remembered for the "Harry Potter" films and hoping to be taken seriously as an actor via a series of small, low-profile independent films. Eventually, he would become Edward Cullen — the ideal companion for women all over the world and plastered in more bedrooms than wallpaper itself.
But first, he had to learn "How to Be."
Travel back with us to a simpler time, thanks to this exclusive clip from Pattinson's new film, which is actually an old film, shot in his pre-"Twilight" days. It's from the Oliver Irving-directed "How to Be," a movie whose advance screenings have already won the hearts of Twilighters worldwide.
The film stars RPattz as Art, a hopelessly lost young man who hires a "life coach" in an attempt to straighten himself out. The London-based musician becomes enamored with a book called "It's Not Your Fault" and invites its elderly author to move in with his family — yielding endearingly quirky results.
In this clip titled "Choking on Dust," Art tries to live life to the fullest by taking a V-8 Camaro out for a joyride. Twilighters will undoubtedly get a kick out of the reckless enthusiasm Rob brings to the scene. His rose-colored glee, however, is short-lived.
"How to Be" is currently touring around the world, with upcoming stops over the next week in New York, Singapore and Los Angeles. Beginning on April 29 and lasting three months, the film can be seen on the pay-service IFC Festival Direct. The film's Web site has additional info on the movie's worldwide theatrical release, as well as the upcoming soundtrack featuring three tracks by Pattinson.
In case you've been living under a rock, Rob is currently hard at work filming the "Twilight" sequel "New Moon." Another early independent film featuring the 22-year-old actor, "Little Ashes," is also touring the country in advance of its theatrical release.
"How To Be" premieres on-demand on IFC Festival Direct on April 29.
