Robert Pattinson's future: Dune, Bel Ami, Unbound Captives, Houdini, and The Great Gatsby?

Not too long ago, we learned that The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Robert Pattinson was being cast in the romantic film Remember Me (once ago called Memoirs, apparently), another project of Twilight studio Summit Entertainment.

Now, a host of film names are being thrown around that Pattinson might be looking into working on.

Here is the run-down of what's being put out there:

* Dune, a sci-fi novel by Frank Herbert, has been dubbed as one possibility. According to MTV, gabber Perez Hilton caught sight of Pattinson on his way from actor Peter Berg's home. Stating that Berg is working on an upcoming film remake of Dune, MTV's Adam Rosenberg speculates that there could be some affiliation between Pattinson and the film coming off of this meeting.
* Bel Ami, which is described by the Encyclopedia Britannica as one of Guy de Maupassant's "most important full-length novels," is said to be a "detached but destructive portrait of the worlds of journalism and finance." According to my friends over a ROBsessed, "the French newspaper Lyon Plus [says] Rob will be in Paris for 3 months at the end of the summer to shoot a new movie which is the adaptation of the novel Bel-Ami written by Maupassant."
* Unbound Captives, which is said by the Herald Sun to now include Robert Pattinson on the cast list, also stars Hugh Jackman, who has been on Pattinson fans' radar for a while for his ephemeral compliments of Pattinson's singing, his hair, and the like. Jackman, who hosted the Academy Award's ceremony that Pattinson made his first appearance at this year, is quite a character, and many fans are excited to see Pattinson work alongside the X-Men Origins: Wolverine star. Also starring in the film will be The Lovely Bones star Rachel Weisz, and the director will be Madeleine Stowe.

In our discussions here (see here), we have also talked about whether Robert Pattinson would be a good match for up-coming Summit Entertainment project The Secret Life of Houdini, and many fans agree that, based on his resume of excellence in character-acting (How To Be, Little Ashes, The Bad Mother's Handbook), Pattinson would make an excellent Houdini. The description of the story, according to Summit Entertainment, is as follows:

The comprehensive tome, published in 2006 by Atria Books, became known for insinuating that Harry Houdini acted as a spy for Britain and was asked to be an adviser to Czar Nicholas II's court in prerevolutionary Russia. The book also portrayed the master escape artist and magician as a debunker of con artists who pretended to be spiritualists, leading to the controversial theory that Houdini's death was caused by the spiritual movement as payback.

Others hope to see Pattinson take on a part of Nick Carraway in the 2010 re-making of the F. Scott Fitzgerald masterpiece The Great Gatsby. The novel, which chronicles the roaring twenties in American economic history, is wrought with self-deprication of an era, as Carraway takes us into the world of New York City right before the Great Depression. Between envy for riches and cynicism against unrestricted materialism, Carraway is a literary character of particular significance - and fans of Pattinson think that he is right for the part.

E! clears Strip club rumors

Los Angeles (E! Online) – Is Rob Pattinson really a regular at a Vancouver strip club?

That's what the latest issue of Star magazine says.

We all know he likes to go out to concerts and lounges with his New Moon castmates...but Star claims he's made two solo trips to Brandi's Exotic Nightclub.
ne
They report one blond dancer named Kendra caught his eye in particular...

"The night they met, Rob followed the hot blonde into a private room for a lap dance," the mag reports, "and he must have liked what he saw because he returned asking for her two days later."

But when we called Brandi's, the club says they haven't seen or heard of R.Pattz visiting their establishment, and it seems the gang is bonding over more wholesome activities. Rob's manager wasn't available for comment.

We're tempted to call BS on this rumor, because let's face it: The guy is constantly photographed (and being chased down alleys). Would he really be able to hit a strip club twice without cameras getting shots of him?

Ashley Greene On Rob "he’s loving being single"

OK!: Does Robert have any problems with putting on that vampire makeup?
He likes being pretty [laughs]! No, I think any guy [actor] is kind of like, eh. But it’s part of the job.

And so the great debate over Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's relationship continues.

Twilight and New Moon star Ashley Greene—who plays Alice Cullen in the vampire saga—tells OK! Magazine that, recent speculation aside, Robert Pattinson is happily unattached.

When asked about Pattinson's rumored crush on co-star Stewart, Greene replies, "I think he’s loving being single. He’s pretty much one of the most eligible bachelors out there right now. So if he was sad before [about Kristen], I think that he’s all right now."

She also adds that Pattinson is a reluctant heartthrob. "Rob's always like, 'I don't belong here, what's going on?' He's not the most sociable. He’s not one of those people who can go and talk to anyone. He’s kind of a hermit and a little awkward."

Megan Fox Addresses Rumors, Disses Robert Pattinson

ew you are trashy anyway
Megan Fox might be remaining mum on the state of her relationship to Brian, but she's quick to shoot down rumors that she rebounded with "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson.

"I just randomly asked someone for a light and it was him. That was the extent of our 'relationship,'" she said of the brooding vampire star. "But I'm sure there's going to be a different guy every week now."

And Megan would like the world to know that Pattison is not her type anyway - the same goes for Zac Efron.
"He and Zac-- they're just too pretty with the big hair and the suits. And Rob is, what, 22? Zac is 21? That's a joke," Megan said. "Boys in their twenties are a waste of time. They have nothing to offer conversationally; they're immature. I feel like I have a better shot with someone in his thirties.

How long will Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart rumors persist?

Really, guys? How long can a rumor persist despite all signs to the contrary?
The Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart off-set romance gossip is getting to be a bit absurd. In approximately the past week, dozens of headlines continued to address the situation, both for and against the supposed connection. One almost need ignore the "top stories" to get to real information unrelated to this concocted jabber.
Yet, despite the fact that Robert Pattinson has said himself that he is not dating Kristen Stewart (see here, for example) on numerous occasions, and the fact that she is in a long-term relationship with Michael Angarano (and has been recently photographed having a romping good time with him, sans Rob, at that), the rumors ensue.
"It becomes a joke," says Rob, who is stunned by the fact "that people are actually reading [headlines like these] even though how ridiculous it is." "It's really bizarre," he continues.
Bizarre is right. So, what is it that keeps the headlines churning on these two? Is it the fact that they're the only on-screen couple in history to actually get along off-camera? No. Is it the fact that they've been cuddly and salacious in public - so much so to deserve the constant scrutiny? Negative. Or, is it that the public is regarded as so gullible that they are being constantly patronized (or, as I might suggest, tormented) with these atrocities on a continuous and never-ending basis? You got it.
While we cannot, and will not, ever know the menial details of these peoples' personal lives, we can know what they have told us loud and clear - they are not together, never have been, and don't plan to be. While it's a nice sentiment to think that the on-screen duo bringing us the dynamic love story and relationship we cherish from the Twilight series, it just isn't happening here.
So, that said, I'm not sure about you all, but I'd love to see the rumors come to a close. There are many, many other interesting things happening for us - what with The Twilight Saga: New Moon half-way through filming, with Little Ashes and How To Be being (and having been, respectively) released, with Eclipse being given a new director, and with all the new cast additions for the series - to talk about, so why focus on this warped fiction of a love affair that never happened?

Robert Pattinson Says Kristen Stewart Dating Rumors 'Ridiculous'

In an Entertainment Tonight interview that will air on Friday, Robert Pattinson squashes the rumor that he's dating his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart.

"It becomes a joke," the dreamy-eyed Brit tells Entertainment Tonight. "There was some magazine the other day about me and Kristen and when you look at it and realize it's on the front of a magazine... You realize that people are actually reading that even though how ridiculous it is. It's really bizarre."

Pattinson is also trying to adjust to how his fame is affecting other people in his life. "I'm always really worried about ruining their lives. Especially with people that aren't famous. It's such a massive change. I'm kind of a paranoid wreck.

Stephenie Meyer Dismisses Ridiculous Rumors

She posted On Her Website
There are a lot of things I should be doing updates on—for example, how awesome and successful the Book Babe event was, and how cool it was to meet all the other authors and hang out with them a little bit, and how much I appreciated all the tremendous support from the fans—but instead of commenting on happy things (which I admit I should have done a week ago; I was waiting for things to slow down for a day, silly me!), I'm commenting on ridiculous internet rumors so that my publicist's day will be just a little bit better.

I am not being sued. No one has contacted me or my publisher to inform either of us that I'm being sued. I never had a roommate named Heidi. There is no professor in the BYU English department named Dr. Peter Benton (though there is a character on ER by that name). And most of all, I began writing Twilight exactly the way I've told people in countless interviews and events for the past six years: I had a cool dream, I wrote it down, writing it down was really fun, so I kept writing until I had a whole book.

The sad thing about this silly situation is that so many legitimate news outlets reported it without doing any research at all to determine if there was any truth to the story. And at least two of these facts are really, really easy to confirm. Particularly, the one about the BYU professor. A simple on-line search can give you that information. Also, a quick call to my publisher would have cleared up the whole lawsuit story. (Kudos to the fansites who did their due diligence and debunked this rumor days ago.)

I guess the moral of the story is that—big surprise—you can't believe everything you read on the internet. Seems like it's April Fool's Day every day on-line. So no worries, the filming of New Moon continues uninterrupted. And, to end this on a bright note, the filming of New Moon continues to be awesome. It's all so beautiful! Chris Weitz is brilliant. Kristen, Rob, and Taylor are beyond words. I have gotten choked up more than once on set due to their amazing performances. I can't wait to see it all put together!

Sage Dill Clears Up Rumors

As we promised, the cast of New Moon gathered to rock out at Vancouver's club Metropole on Saturday and Sunday night.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart came on Saturday night to lend support for Sage Dill, a close pal of actress Nikki Reed and half of the band The Dills, after night-shoots on Friday.

"Rob, Nikki and Kristen all were dancing right up front to the side the whole time. It's just great when your friends support you," Sage tells RadarOnline exclusively.

The Twilight trio (naturally) posted for fan photos before returning to their hotel with Sage, where the group partied all night and listened to music.

"Everyone is best friends," Sage tells us, "the rumors about anyone not getting along aren' t true, everyone likes each other and there aren't any romantic rivalries at all."

Sunday night, Kristen and Nikki once again came out to support their friend Sage while Rob was backstage with Jackson Rathbone at his 100 Monkeys performance.
