Happy birthday to Twilight and New Moon star Elizabeth Reaser!

Today, Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Elizabeth Reaser turns 34 years young.
Reaser, who plays Esme Cullen in the Twilight series, has certainly got a reason to celebrate on this occasion.
Over the last few years, her career has hit new heights with her addition to the Twilight cast.
Making her first breakthrough in a small role on The Sopranos, Reaser made her way to the big screen in no time. Fans remember her extraordinary work in Sweet Land and her memorable role in The Family Stone as well.
Before long, Reaser was cast in Saved and then as a returning character in Grey's Anatomy before she took the role as Cullen in Twilight.
Ever since, she has worked on the show The Ex List and a new film Against The Current.
Reaser will reprise her role in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and was present to accept (alongside her co-stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Cam Gigandet, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, and with director Catherine Hardwicke) the award for "Best Movie" for Twilight.
Talented, gorgeous, and good-humored, Elizabeth Reaser is certainly a wonderful addition to the Twilight cast, and fans can't wait to see her work in The Twilight Saga: New Moon. So, a very happy birthday to Elizabeth Reaser!

Twilight star's birthday bash puts Yaletown eatery on world map

VANCOUVER -- Until Wednesday night, Michael Bowers had never experienced the full force of the paparazzi glare - nor the unwavering determination of star-struck young women on the hunt for the world's hottest vampire.

But the manager at Glowbal Grill and Satay got a hearty taste of both when Robert Pattinson - star of the blockbuster film Twilight - showed up at the Yaletown eatery to celebrate his 23rd birthday, and thrust the restaurant into the international spotlight.

The phone rang all day Wednesday with calls from fans and celebrity media who knew that Mr. Pattinson has been frequenting Glowbal since he began shooting the film's sequel, New Moon, in Vancouver a couple of months ago.

Young women with copies of the Twilight books conveniently tucked into their purses sat in the restaurant, trying to look nonchalant as paparazzi circled outside for hours.


"They weren't fooling anybody," said Mr. Bowers, adding that many of the photographers hid their cameras and just casually strolled around the front and rear entrance of the Mainland Street grill. "It was quite comical."

Then when Mr. Pattinson's people called at around 9 p.m. to reserve a table, Mr. Bowers knew he was in for quite the night.

Shortly after arriving at the sleek, L.A.-style eatery, the vampire star graciously signed autographs and chatted with fans and allowed them to snap photos before he was led to a private table where he dined with friends and family.

But somebody reportedly sent out a message on Twitter that gave away Mr. Pattinson's location, and before long Mr. Bowers went from being a restaurant manager to a celebrity handler trying to clear a path through the crowd of adoring young women and paparazzi to a waiting taxi.

"We tried to make a decoy at the back, but we rushed him out the front and the cameras were just flashing like crazy. I couldn't see a thing," Mr. Bowers said with a laugh. "It was exciting, but I'm not used to it. I'm a small-town boy from Trenton, Ont."

Before getting into the cab, Mr. Pattinson shot a few more photos with fans - including two girls who travelled all the way from Nashville to catch a glimpse of the heartthrob and had been scouring the city for a week. "They flew up because they knew it was his birthday," Mr. Bowers said. "They were overjoyed."

But the frenzy didn't end there. Ever since that night, the restaurant has been fielding dozens of calls from entertainment reporters who want to know exactly what they ate (Kobe meatballs, lamb, steak), what they drank (champagne cocktails) and whom they were with (the New Moon cast, including co-star Kristen Stewart, and Mr. Pattinson's parents).

And now the restaurant's name is popping up on celebrity websites around the globe, including Perez Hilton, Us Weekly and People.

"We're becoming very well known," said Glowbal VIP concierge and publicist Rochelle Clarke, whose phone began ringing at 7 a.m. Thursday and hasn't stopped. "It's definitely got the buzz around the city at the moment.

Rob Pattinson Last Day In Vancouver + Pics

Last day is the Meadow

Attached – thanks to fans who waited to see Robert Pattinson after his birthday dinner the other night at Glowbal for sending their photos. As you can see, Kristen Stewart was ripped. Love it.

And Ashley Greene left Vancouver yesterday. Here she is at the airport. THAT is a pretty, pretty girl. She looks like a doll.

Today is Pattinson’s final day on the set of New Moon barring any crazy cataclysmic setback. They’ve had to postpone these scenes due to weather, now must rush him through the shoot to get him out on schedule. It’s supposed to be a beautiful day in Vancouver today. Which is perfect because – get ready for it Twi-hards – today they are shooting in the Meadow.

It’s a dreamy sequence. In the Meadow, Bella sees herself get old, looks like her grandma. And Edward wishes grandma happy birthday. Then they’re young together and lying in the field and looking at each other and it’s pretty.

He really did look extra pretty on his birthday. Especially the close up on his face, see? Framed by his hood, mouth closed in a semi pout, Robert Pattinson quivered the loyal fans waiting outside in the rain last night as he celebrated his birthday at Glowbal in Yaletown. He did not disappoint, gamely signing autographs and posing for photos before leaving.

Started out as a small group, just RP and an older gentleman, Kristen Stewart, and his friend Sam Bradley but others arrived as the night progressed: Ashley Greene, Jamie Campbell Bower, Charlie Bewley were the other Twilight actors in attendance and several other non-famous folks toasted Pattinson’s 23rd. Noticeably absent: Taylor Lautner. He was with Selena Gomez last night and am told may not have been invited.

The best part about all of this is that there were reporters from at least 2 tabloids inside the restaurant all night observing the festivities. Cannot wait to hear how different their stories are. Several more pap agencies have also come to town hoping to cash in on Twi-hard devotion.

So what happened inside? Did Robert propose to Kristen and insist that they get married before they have sex? Did he take her up to the treetops and twirl her hair between his fingers?

Unfortunately for the diehard romantics, it was just a night out with friends. Like you would at a large table, people moved around a lot. For much of the night, Kristen sat several seats down from Robert. Occasionally she’d get up and sit beside him, as would others. Wish I could tell you that they brought in a piano and he played her a lullaby but, sorry, nothing gossipy to report. Unless you want to take it upon yourself with how it ended.

After obliging his tenacious followers, Pattinson jumped into a cab with 4 others to return to hotel. Kristen was among them. There you go! Fan fiction time! Remember, Stephenie Meyer turned it into a multimillion dollar franchise. You can too!

Will I spoil it for you when I say they both had an early pick up this morning? Very early. Shooting Bella bedroom scenes. He goes through her photos and she cries and mopes some more when there are no photos. Also something about her opening her eyes and there he is beside her waiting for her to wake up. Pattinson is concurrently continuing green screen work with the other vampires. Winding down his stay in Vancouver.

People talks Rob Pattinson's B-day Details

Robert Pattinson's Twilight character, Edward, may remain a perpetual teenager – but the actor celebrated turning 23 on Wednesday.

The star was joined by several of his New Moon castmates, including leading lady Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Jamie Campbell Bower at The Glowbal Grill and Satay Bar in Vancouver where they are filming.

Pattinson and his pals were treated to champagne cocktails in the the V.I.P. section of the restaurant. They ordered rounds of shooters and feasted on Kobe beef meatballs, lamb, steak, salads and roasted vegetables.

"Everyone enjoyed a hearty meal and had a good appetite," said a source. But it's wasn't just a cozy night with friends. Pattison's location was posted on Twitter, and soon hoards of fans descended on the restaurant trying to get pictures and autographs.

"There was a lot of buzz and energy in the restaurant," said the source. "Being in the same restaurant as Rob Pattinson for his birthday is great."

A fan told PEOPLE: "I was so happy to see Rob and help him celebrate his 23rd birthday. He took the time to meet us and take a picture with us, that was so cool."

After dinner, a platter of desserts was taken to the table where guests could choose between cheesecake, créme brulee, warm chocolate coffee cake and white chocolate mousse. Later, the group made their way to Afterglow, a small bar attached to the restaurant where they had drinks, talked and listened to music until close to 1 a.m.

Robert Pattinson gets a new gig for his birthday

Contrary to popular belief, there are better things Robert Pattinson could get for his 23rd birthday than a metric assload of fan-made videos, the top trending spot on Twitter or your undying love and rabid adoration. And now that he's one year further away from the teen demo, a new non-Twilight movie role wouldn't be too shabby -- especially given Little Ashes' failure to "dazzle" the critics. (28 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes: ouch. At least he can hope for cult status...) But sure as the Cullens dig plasma, Pattinson has a new gig all lined up.

Pattinson is set to appear alongside Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz in drama Unbound Captives. The period piece is set on the American frontier in the 1850s -- a time when men wrassled mountain lions with their bare hands for kicks (just like Edward Cullen!) and the mere mention of glitter-faced dudes and vampire baseball was cause for lynching.

The story -- written and directed by actress Madeline Stowe -- will follow a woman (Weisz) who goes on the hunt for her two children, who have been kidnapped by warriors of the Comanche tribe. Pattinson will reportedly play one of her kids (although at 23, he's practically middle-aged by old-timey standards). Jackman will star as the frontiersman who helps Weisz on her journey.

According to Variety, Pattinson has been attached to the project since before people were selling his laundry on eBay, Tyra Banks was demanding he bite her on live TV and the general Twilight craziness erupted.

Vancouver eatery hosts Twilight star Robert Pattinson on his birthday

VANCOUVER - It really was a happy birthday for RPattz!

The film world's favourite vampire turned 23 Wednesday so he and castmates Kristen Stewart and Ashley Greene celebrated at the Glowbal Grill and Satay Bar in trendy Yaletown.

The Twilight trio chowed down after a full day of shooting New Moon on the Vancouver set.

Fans were delighted when Pattinson and friends stopped outside the eatery to allow a few photos to be taken.

The Global is fast becoming a favourite with the undead cast.

Gossip has been circulating among Twi-hards that Rob enjoys the Kobe beef meatballs with truffled spaghetti at Glowbal, located at Mainland and Nelson.

The dish, which features téte de moine cheese, tomato garlic confit and parmesan, is apparently a favourite.

The actor also reportedly likes the bar's signature drink, the Global cocktail, which consists of Martini, vodka, Alize and fruit juices. No word on whether he prefers shaken or stirred, or gives a hoot.

Meanwhile, we'll leave comments open for those who'd like to wish Pattinson a belated birthday wish. More than 250 fans from around the world left greetings for the British star at the Vancouver Sun site on Wednesday.

We wished Rob would take a day off in celebration. He didn't take our advice, but at least he topped it off with a good meal.
