Vanity Fair Article Talks Robert Pattinson Win

So much for competition. Two weeks ago, VF.com asked readers to vote for the Most Handsome Man in the World. Just like last time, when Angelina Jolie trounced the competition in our Most Beautiful Woman in the World poll, we have a hands-down winner: Robert Pattinson. The Twilight star took 51 percent of the more than 271,000 votes cast. Of the 18 men on the list, Nacho Figueras came in second with 15 percent, followed by Brad Pitt with 12 percent.

So, World, what exactly is it about Robert Pattionson that made you vote over 271,000 times?

Twilight' Stars Talk About Robert Pattinson's Reaction To Fame

UNIVERSAL CITY, California — A year ago at this time, a small independent film was shooting in Portland. It starred the little kid from "Panic Room," the jerk from "Can't Hardly Wait," the best friend from "Thirteen" and the fast-talking girl from "Rocket Science." It also featured a little-known actor, best remembered for playing Cedric Diggory in the "Harry Potter" films.

Now, "Twilight" is a worldwide phenomenon and actors like Kristen Stewart, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed and Anna Kendrick are all celebrating their recent big night at the MTV Movie Awards. But it's hard to imagine any actor, ever, whose life has changed as dramatically in 12 months as Robert Pattinson's.

When we spoke with them on the red carpet over the weekend, his "Twilight" saga co-stars told us that they're as amazed by the transformation as they are impressed with how RPattz has handled it all.

"Rob cannot be in public and be static for more than five seconds without being mobbed," marveled Mike Welch, who plays Mike Newton. "If he's in a room and he looks down and he looks back up, [in that instant] everyone in the room will be staring at him. It's kind of ridiculous. [That level of fame] is literally Rob Pattinson and Barack Obama."

"It's so funny but it's true," agreed Christian Serratos, who plays Angela. "There's a love for Rob, which is completely understandable. But despite all that, he's still completely relaxed and completely laid-back. I don't know how it's possible, but he's really just chill."

As the days got closer to the release of "Twilight," there were signs that Pattinson's power over fans was reaching a Beatles-esque level. But when the "Twilight" cast recently went overseas for work on the sequel "New Moon," they saw that the insanity has become even wilder.

"Italy was intense," Ashley Greene marveled. "We literally all had two bodyguards and drivers, and we couldn't walk and had to be driven around the set. It was because there were thousands of girls that came in from everywhere in the world to see [Pattinson]. ... They would sleep over and stay the night outside our hotel gate. It was nuts."

"Every second of Rob's life is watched now," Kellan Lutz added, saying that Rob has had to adjust some habits to handle the increased scrutiny. "I'm sure he's careful for everything he's doing."

"I've talked to Rob about it, and he's just paranoid all the time now," Peter Facinelli revealed, admitting that the newfound fame does sometimes become difficult for his onscreen son. "Like, even to go down to the Starbucks, he's ducking behind cars and does a roll-flip to the coffee shop. Then he gets up, and there's nobody there — but then the one time that he doesn't do that, that's when there's like 10,000 paparazzi jumping out of the bushes."

"It's hard," agreed his onscreen wife, Elizabeth Reaser.

But still, despite a level of attention that has driven other celebrities (Britney, Lindsay, etc.) down some crazy paths in recent years, Rob's "Twilight" stars insist that he hasn't changed a bit.

"Rob cracks me up every time I hang out with him," Lutz said. "He's just such a great, easygoing guy."

"[His fame] is always growing," Cam Gigandet added. "But Rob is still Rob — which is a good thing."

"He's the same guy that I met before he was world-famous, which is just a really laid-back, quirky, funny British dude," Welch grinned. "[But his notoriety] is crazy. I don't know how he does it. I'm glad I'm Mike, dude."

Robert Pattinson, a gangster?

From Remember Me to Bel Ami to Unbound Captives, The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Robert Pattinson is surely the object of many film-maker's propsective eyes right now.

With a diverse resume that brought him anywhere from the sad, sad Art in How To Be to the uber-eccentric Salvador Dali in Little Ashes (and, of course, the leading vampire in Twilight), Pattinson's capacity for thespianism is a hair shy of bringing him to the level of theatrical Renaissance Man.

As such, one role that is coming into the news lately is that of a gangster.

Says Us Magazine,

"I was talking to [author] Tom [Folsom] about who he wants to play Joe Gallo if you make this book into a movie. He said one of the ones he really wants is Leonard DiCaprio" producer Harvey Weinstein [said] at The Mad Ones book party in NYC Monday.

(Gallo -- a mafia associate known as "Crazy Joe" -- was portrayed by actor Joe Mantegna in the Godfather Part III.)

Who else could play the role?

"Rob Pattinson, James Franco, Leo...there's a bunch of guys," Weinstein goes on.

But Weinstein is a fan of Pattinson after working with him at the amfAR benefit in which he auctioned off two kisses to raise money for AIDS research.

"Rob Pattinson, I made him kiss girls in Cannes. He's the most charming, wonderful young man," Weinstein [says.] "He really cared about the charity, and that's not an easy thing to do. That's a sweet, sweetheart thing to do. And then we got two bids."

Robert Pattinson Being Controlled?

I don't know if it's true but if it is then that's very wrong
Rob hasn’t been able to spend much time with New Moon fans in Italy and some fans think he is being controlled.

One fan from the UK has been able to get the inside scoop on what’s allegedly happening to Rob.

Katie twittered: “I spoke to journalist friend yesterday. She is staying at same hotel as cast. Rob’s not allowed to leave his room, only for filming and two dinners out. The dinners out were in private rooms in restaurant.

“Also, she was sitting in Piazza Grande on Saturday at cafe, hardly anyone around at the time. Rob’s car was driving round, window open, Rob looking at set. She happened to look up as Rob passed, she couldn’t believe it.“Car was going very slowly. She asked for autograph and walked up to car, Rob started to lean out to sign, she heard car doors lock, then car sped away before Rob could sign, Rob was looking back at her.

“(There’s) conflict between American production team and Italian team. Italians don’t want New Moon here.

“She overheard security talking, she can understand Italian but they didn’t know. Rob has 30 min break for lunch during filming. He was given choice of either signing autographs or eating lunch! Obviously he ate lunch!

“Italian team told extras to boo Rob when he came out for scene, as he refused to meet them. This is a complete lie! Rob wanted to but wasn’t allowed! Some people booed him. Most cheered. Rob smiled. Aww.”

Sam Bradley's New Song, Cowritten with Robert Pattinson

The Examiner Wrote about Sam's recent concerts, where he performed a new song that he wrote with Rob for the full review click here
The
Sheila Marrs, photographer, reader of this column, and fan of Sam Bradley, attended both of Sam Bradley's shows in Los Angeles this week.

Delighting the audience with everything from "Derek" to "That's How Strong My Love Is," Bradley played a total of eleven songs - allowing the audience to take the reigns on his "Too Far Gone." Afterward, true to form, Bradley "came out at the end of the night and took photos with the fans." Also, said she, "three very large in-your-face paparazzi were all over Sam. He handled it quite well."

The show, as anticipated, was sold out, with one member in attendance being Gene Simmons from KISS (who, it is said, had a conversation with Lee Lindsey about Sam and her music).

according to Marrs, included a presentation of the song which Bradley co-wrote with The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Robert Pattinson while he was filming in Vancouver (video below)

Can Anyone Beat Robert Pattinson For Breakthrough Male Performance?

He Better win or like i said in Twitter, if he doesn't i'm doing something drastic

In order to be nominated for Breakthrough Male Performance at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, you had to be foreign, dreamy, British, funny or a combination of all four.

The obvious front-runner is "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson, who has a rabid fanbase on his side. The category also finds Dev Patel nominated for his role in the Oscar-winning flick "Slumdog Millionaire." Then there's Bobb'e J. Thompson for his hysterical turn in "Role Models," Taylor Lautner in "Twilight" and Ben Barnes in "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian."

Patel might have starred in one of the biggest films of the past awards season, but it's going to be hard for him to beat out Pattinson. The same goes for Barnes, who is pretty dreamy himself but hasn't amassed Pattinson's faithful following. And Thompson is adorable and funny, but he is the clear underdog in this match.

But enough about those other guys: Pattinson has female fans who are most likely voting over and over again as you're reading this for their beloved RPattz. Playing brooding vampire Edward Cullen hasn't been so bad for Pattinson. If he doesn't win, it might be the show's biggest upset, but there's always the possibility that Team Jacob will mobilize to get the award for the other "Twilight" heartthrob, Taylor Lautner.

Robert Pattinson hides body from fans

I know poor rob specially with him being on the london newspaper
We all know that Robert Pattinson hates having his photo taken but now it seems like he hates fans looking at his body during filming as well.

He is currently shooting the kissing/fountain scene with Kristen Stewart in Italy.

Rob seems to be quite shy around the extras.

One explained: "Rob ducks into the building after every take. The guy seems embarrassd by all of us drooling and gaping. Poor guy.

"As soon as the director yells cut - the extras whip around to try and catch a glimpse. Whiplash in unison."

Rob has had to do the scene three times already this morning. Lucky Kristen!

She gets to kiss Rob over and over again.

Her lines seem to be changing each take according to our source.

She says: "Bella's dialog keeps changing a bit - "don't, no, get out of the light."

In the first take she "ran screaming at him "No Edward don't!"

Robert Pattinson Hides

Teen heartthrob Rob Pattinson has many admirers and some are very aggressive in their attempts to see the actor up close and personal. Robert's moves off camera are well documented and fans follow him no matter where he goes. Now Robert Pattinson has revealed that despite his efforts to hide in plain sight, he has been found out.

The actor has revealed that he believes fans can recognize him from his nose after he went out and attempted to avoid them by wearing a disguise. The 23-year-old British actor has become a worldwide hit after appearing in teen vampire film Twilight as heartthrob Edward Cullen. He admits the attention means he can't always go wherever he wants but using a disguise still didn't work.

He said: "I can't go anywhere. The other day, I was walking around New York in a hat, a hood and massive sunglasses. I looked like a street sweeper and yet a good 20 people came up and knew who I was." He added: "I was thinking: 'What are you recognizing, my nose?' You couldn't see my face, yet they knew it was me. It was completely bizarre."

He added: "But the girls aren't flirty, they just seem really scared or nervous." He added: "It's like it's taken a lot of guts for them to approach me, and they're almost quaking."
Yeah I noticed when every one stops him for an autograph and their a crowd no one says anything to him, haha I would be blahing about something lol so he can remember me lol.

Little Ashes is one of summer’s little films that might make it big

Kansas City Star countdown the summer’s little films that might make it big
Summer traditionally belongs to the big tent pole pictures, the franchise titles that feature superheroes or raunchy comedy or wisecracking cops or spaceships.

But here in River City audiences have a tradition of embracing little offbeat movies during the summer and nurturing them for many weeks. Last year the local art-house scene had big-time hits in the documentary “Young @ Heart,” in the indie drama “The Visitor” and in the French thrillers “Tell No One” and “Roman de Gare.”

Which little off-the-grid movies will find a loyal audience this été? Here are the prime suspects. Where possible we’ve given opening dates (which are subject to change), but mostly these flicks will sneak in when you least expect them.
Listed third in the list
“Little Ashes”: A pre-“Twilight” Robert Pattinson plays young surrealist artist Salvador Dali in this speculative-but-inspired-by-fact examination of his possibly homosexual relationship with poet Federico Garcia Lorca (

Rob Pattinson is Most Anticipated in Cannes

Robert Pattinson flies in to Cannes Sunday for his first invitation at the prestigious Festival de Cannes.

Rob’s arrival at the Majestic Beach was the most anticipated 2009 Cannes Film Festival arrival since Brad Pitt.

Although unlike Brad Pitt who is promoting Inglourious Basterds this year, and Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell who are thought to be at the screening of Heath Ledger’s final film The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, Rob does not have anything to promote.

However, with the success and the fame claimed from playing Edward in the blockbuster vampire movie Twilight, his career has taken off by leaps and we are sure he will be invited to Cannes every year from now on.

Raise your hand if you think New Moon will be the best-selling film of the year

Frequenters of this column will know that this Examiner is slightly more than optimistic about the box office fate of our dearly anticipated sequel to Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Pungent in the air (no pun intended) is the aroma of Twilight stardom all across the globe. With Robert Pattinson taking Cannes by storm (as his plate of post-Twilight saga film options continues to grow), Kristen Stewart keeping her cool in Vancouver (and her dream film The Runaways nearing production), and Taylor Lautner, well, making photographic waves with his apparent sweetie (and impressively instantaneous athleticism), these Twilight stars are on the world's radar - and everybody knows it.

Yet, that is to say nothing about the ears, eyes, and hearts of millions who wait anxiously for news and updates about production of the film itself.

For months, the New Moon news has been on a steady streamline, here and everywhere on the web. It's not because the film is tomorrow, next week, or even this summer - it's still many moons (pun intended) away. It is because the anticipation for this film is so incredibly high that every detail of the production process is of massive importance to Twilight fans. In some cases racing to and fro from location (Vancouver) to location (Italy), fans of the Twilight saga wait on pins and needles for that precious day in November.

That said, it is no surprise that the crew and studio are fully aware of fan expectations, and are scheduled to deliver as promised. What with Chris Weitz at the helm of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, David Slade behind the lens for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, cast members like Michael Sheen, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Dakota Fanning added to the heavy-hitters on thespian-duty for the films, and with an increased budget and fan awareness, the coming portions of the Twilight saga films are, indeed, a cut above the already magnanimous force that was 2008's Twilight by Catherine Hardwicke.

In reviewing the hot-item sure-to-be-top-of-the-weekly-summer-charts blockbusters making headway the past few weeks, more than a few commentators had their share to say about the future of New Moon in the box office. Claiming that it is a ridiculous, unfounded, and lofty dream to anticipate that our beloved film will make it to the top, these nay-sayers put to the proverbial bed any hope that The Twilight Saga: New Moon would make it to the top.

However, knowing the fandom of Twilight as I do, I (still) predict that those voices can and will be silenced come November. Once, twice, three times a Twilight-er.

So, for all those who agree and think that The Twilight Saga: New Moon stands a fair shot at the number one spot for 2009, raise your hand

Cannes fans moon over 'Twilight' star Pattinson

CANNES, France (AP) — Robert Pattinson put some bite into the celebrity sightings at the Cannes Film Festival.

The British actor, who shot to heartthrob status last fall as the young stud bloodsucker in the hit vampire romance "Twilight," stopped by Cannes to talk up the sequel and catch a movie or two. Pattinson said he's still getting used to the fact that people know him wherever he goes.

"It is still strange," Pattinson said Tuesday. "I just don't get the immediate-recognition thing. I was at the Frankfurt airport yesterday, and people just immediately know who you are. It's never, 'Are you ...?' It's just like, 'Can I have a photo?'"

While at Cannes, Pattinson said he planned to see Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds," which is in the festival's main competition.

He said he has four days of shooting left in Italy next week on "New Moon," the sequel based on Stephenie Meyers' best-sellers about a high school girl (Kristen Stewart) who falls for Pattinson's immortally young vampire.

The producers hired more guards than on "Twilight" to keep onlookers at bay for the "New Moon" shoot, but Pattinson said it turned out to be unnecessary.

"They had tons of security, but then at the end of the day actually, hardly anyone knew where we were shooting," Pattinson said. "I'm walking around with, like, three guys following me around all the time, and no one ever turned up. There was never any infiltrators."

Robert Pattinson shines in How To Be

Robert Pattinson doesn't disappoint in How To Be.

I was lucky enough to watch the movie over the weekend and I was really impressed with Rob's performance.

He is a brillant Art and is the most talented member of the cast by far. There are some really funny moments in the film which sees Art trying to make himself happy.

My favourite part of the film is when the self help guru Dr Elligton arrives late at night and Art starts to take him upstairs before introducing him to his parents. His mum's face is a picture.

Another highlight for me was when Art asked his mum if they could go for a walk to bond as a family but she brushes him off. It was so awkward it was funny.

It isn't the most exciting film by a long way but it is well worth a watch. I feel like I have seen a new side to Rob, as Art is nothing like Edward Cullen.

I think watching it once is enough, because nothing really happens and I'd rather watch Twilight again, and again.

Twilight and New Moon star Robert Pattinson to star in Breaking Dawn?

Marc Malkin, a slightly less lascivious member of the team over at E! Online, has just addressed the question of whether Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Robert Pattinson will be joining the cast of the fourth film (which we hope is going to be made).

Malkin says (video available below) that he doesn't see any reason why Pattinson would not join the cast.

What with the promise of continuity in the series, impending fortune as a result of his work in the series, and continued interest in both him and the film by Twilight fans, Malkin opines that Pattinson would, like his co-star Kristen Stewart apparently, not have any reason to ditch out on the last film.

Some of Pattinson's fans, however, see the equation a little differently. Some fans of his are not Twilight fans, per se. Instead, they grew to love Pattinson for his work on films like The Bad Mother's Handbook, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and The Haunted Airman and more recent films like How To Be and Little Ashes. One such group is the IMDb message board frequenters. These commenters cover all aspects of Pattinson's work in their discussions, but they aren't all Twilight fans.

That said, while Malkin's comments are hopeful and encouraging to Twilight fans to want to see Robert Pattinson continue his role as Edward Cullen in what we hope to be The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, other fans of the actor tend to think that Pattinson would do well to abandon the Twilight ship after his contract is up with The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

In the past few days, we've discussed a number of films that have become associated with Pattinson's name in one way or another (see here). It is these sorts of films that groups who don't wish to see Pattinson in Breaking Dawn think he should tackle next.

On the other hand, Twilight fans may, as Malkin indicates, have the upper hand. With Pattinson's new (but firming) relationship with the Twilight studio Summit Entertainment at hand (especially with his recently confirmed involvement in another Summit project, Remember Me - which has a newly announced release date of February 12, 2010), even if Pattinson had lost interest in making the film, his relationship with the studio might win out. This is not to say, however, that Pattinson has lost interest or that he will with making Breaking Dawn, but it is purely a hypothetical for the sake of discussion.

Twilight star's birthday bash puts Yaletown eatery on world map

VANCOUVER -- Until Wednesday night, Michael Bowers had never experienced the full force of the paparazzi glare - nor the unwavering determination of star-struck young women on the hunt for the world's hottest vampire.

But the manager at Glowbal Grill and Satay got a hearty taste of both when Robert Pattinson - star of the blockbuster film Twilight - showed up at the Yaletown eatery to celebrate his 23rd birthday, and thrust the restaurant into the international spotlight.

The phone rang all day Wednesday with calls from fans and celebrity media who knew that Mr. Pattinson has been frequenting Glowbal since he began shooting the film's sequel, New Moon, in Vancouver a couple of months ago.

Young women with copies of the Twilight books conveniently tucked into their purses sat in the restaurant, trying to look nonchalant as paparazzi circled outside for hours.

"They weren't fooling anybody," said Mr. Bowers, adding that many of the photographers hid their cameras and just casually strolled around the front and rear entrance of the Mainland Street grill. "It was quite comical."

Then when Mr. Pattinson's people called at around 9 p.m. to reserve a table, Mr. Bowers knew he was in for quite the night.

Shortly after arriving at the sleek, L.A.-style eatery, the vampire star graciously signed autographs and chatted with fans and allowed them to snap photos before he was led to a private table where he dined with friends and family.

But somebody reportedly sent out a message on Twitter that gave away Mr. Pattinson's location, and before long Mr. Bowers went from being a restaurant manager to a celebrity handler trying to clear a path through the crowd of adoring young women and paparazzi to a waiting taxi.

"We tried to make a decoy at the back, but we rushed him out the front and the cameras were just flashing like crazy. I couldn't see a thing," Mr. Bowers said with a laugh. "It was exciting, but I'm not used to it. I'm a small-town boy from Trenton, Ont."

Before getting into the cab, Mr. Pattinson shot a few more photos with fans - including two girls who travelled all the way from Nashville to catch a glimpse of the heartthrob and had been scouring the city for a week. "They flew up because they knew it was his birthday," Mr. Bowers said. "They were overjoyed."

But the frenzy didn't end there. Ever since that night, the restaurant has been fielding dozens of calls from entertainment reporters who want to know exactly what they ate (Kobe meatballs, lamb, steak), what they drank (champagne cocktails) and whom they were with (the New Moon cast, including co-star Kristen Stewart, and Mr. Pattinson's parents).

And now the restaurant's name is popping up on celebrity websites around the globe, including Perez Hilton, Us Weekly and People.

"We're becoming very well known," said Glowbal VIP concierge and publicist Rochelle Clarke, whose phone began ringing at 7 a.m. Thursday and hasn't stopped. "It's definitely got the buzz around the city at the moment.

More Rob Pattinson Bday Party Info

He really did look extra pretty on his birthday. Especially the close up on his face, see? Framed by his hood, mouth closed in a semi pout, Robert Pattinson quivered the loyal fans waiting outside in the rain last night as he celebrated his birthday at Glowbal in Yaletown. He did not disappoint, gamely signing autographs and posing for photos before leaving.

I tweeted about it last night – click here for my Twitter.

Started out as a small group, just RP and an older gentleman, Kristen Stewart, and his friend Sam Bradley but others arrived as the night progressed: Ashley Greene, Jamie Campbell Bower, Charlie Bewley were the other Twilight actors in attendance and several other non-famous folks toasted Pattinson’s 23rd. Noticeably absent: Taylor Lautner. He was with Selena Gomez last night and am told may not have been invited.

The best part about all of this is that there were reporters from at least 2 tabloids inside the restaurant all night observing the festivities. Cannot wait to hear how different their stories are. Several more pap agencies have also come to town hoping to cash in on Twi-hard devotion.

So what happened inside? Did Robert propose to Kristen and insist that they get married before they have sex? Did he take her up to the treetops and twirl her hair between his fingers?

Just realised…

Rossum IS perfect for Stephenie Meyer.

Unfortunately for the diehard romantics, it was just a night out with friends. Like you would at a large table, people moved around a lot. For much of the night, Kristen sat several seats down from Robert. Occasionally she’d get up and sit beside him, as would others. Wish I could tell you that they brought in a piano and he played her a lullaby but, sorry, nothing gossipy to report. Unless you want to take it upon yourself with how it ended.

After obliging his tenacious followers, Pattinson jumped into a cab with 4 others to return to hotel. Kristen was among them. There you go! Fan fiction time! Remember, Stephenie Meyer turned it into a multimillion dollar franchise. You can too!

Will I spoil it for you when I say they both had an early pick up this morning? Very early. Shooting Bella bedroom scenes. He goes through her photos and she cries and mopes some more when there are no photos. Also something about her opening her eyes and there he is beside her waiting for her to wake up. Pattinson is concurrently continuing green screen work with the other vampires. Winding down his stay in Vancouver.

In case you haven’t heard, the powers that be blessed us with Robert Pattinson twenty-three years ago today. “Happy 23rd Birthday RPattz

In case you haven’t heard, the powers that be blessed us with Robert Pattinson twenty-three years ago today. In other words, “Happy 23rd Birthday RPattz!”

I can’t physically give Robert a present, because a) I don’t know him and b) sending him a cupcake with a special message would seem really creepy. Instead, I’ve decided to create a list in his honor. What is this great list you may ask? Well, I’m going to write up 23 reasons why I’m thankful for RPattz.

As you can imagine, thinking up 23 reasons why you’re thankful for someone can be quite difficult, especially when you’ve never met the person, but I found it pretty easy to dream up reasons why my pop cultured/boy-crazy life - not to mention my bulletin board and my desktop - would be super boring if Robert wasn’t born in grand old England all those years ago. So without further adieu, I would like to present you, my fellow “Twilight” fans, these 23 reasons why we should all be thankful for Robert Pattinson:

23: I’m thankful that he won’t think I’m a weirdo (I hope) if he ever reads this blog post. (wink wink)
22: He’s friends with Camilla Bell, who’s dating Joe Jonas. The possibility that RPattz jams with a Jonas Brother is something we should all be thankful for.
21: He can totally pwn Harry Potter and kick Voldemort’s ass. Voldemort did have Cedric/RPattz murdered by Peter Pettigrew, but he had to die and be unavailable for future installments of Harry Potter, right? Robert wouldn’t have had any time to be in “Twilight” and a Harry Potter/Cedric Diggory spinoff wouldn’t be as awesome.
20: He likes to read. See everyone! Reading is fundamental!
19: He has a nice accent.
18: He always has that brooding look. It’s like he’s in pain but deep in thought at the same time. It’s kind of amazing.
17: His astrological sign is Taurus, which mean he’s dependable, romantic, passionate, and thoughtful. ‘Nuff said.
16: According to an interview with the LA Times, coughing makes him cry. Since I have asthma, coughing makes me cry too. We’re a match made in heaven.
15: He has his own grungy, laid-back style. He makes beanie hats look good.
14: Robert seems like a normal dude, someone you can have a nice chat with. He doesn’t come off like one of those Hollywood player types, which is probably why so many women are crushing on him. Remember last November when he said he hadn’t kissed a girl in a while? That’s pretty hard to believe, but it’s cute that he doesn’t know he’s gorgeous.
13: He smells like roses. Of course I don’t really know if he does or not, but he definitely doesn’t stink! Take that, haters!
12: He aspires to be like acting great Jack Nicholson. I aspire to be Jack Nicholson during my spare time too.
11: When he made his first appearance in “Twilight” and entered the cafeteria, he made us all wish that we lived in some rainy town with vampires running rampant in the woods. Sure it sounds scary, but none of that mattered as long as we could see Robert during lunch period. It made me yearn for my high school days. Oh the memories!
10: He can talk about his underwear, his toenails, and his not-so-stellar running ability on camera and still make the ladies swoon. I mean how many other heartthrobs would be willing to talk about those topics? Yeah. None.
9: If his vampire skills ever fail him, he can always resort to his expertise in wizardry. Which makes him lethal with a wooden stick.
8: He can wear a curly cue mustache as the bizarre Salvador Dali in “Little Ashes” and still look hot.
7: He plays Edward Cullen, the sparkly immortal, who for many women is the perfect boyfriend (minus the blood sucking vampire part).
6: He can sing (swoon) really well. (You had “Never Think” on repeat! Admit it!)
5: He has the ability to look like this with a cigarette in his mouth.
4: He managed to turn the words “spider monkey” into a term of endearment. He can call me spider monkey any day.
3: His hair. Whether it’s short, long, unruly, or perfectly styled, he has FANTASTIC hair.
2: He is so awkward and seemingly shy during all of his interviews that you just want to sit him down, give him a hug and say, “It’s going to be alright. The camera won’t eat you.” That awkwardness/goofiness makes him so endearing. It’s part of his charm.

(DRUM ROLL PLEASE)

1. I know Robert is here to stay, which means I have something to occupy my time for years to come. With his upcoming projects and the rest of the flicks from the “Twilight” saga coming out in theaters, I won’t have time to twiddle my thumbs. Crushing on RPattz is like the Best. Hobby. Ever!

Are Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto the New Rob Pattinsons?

What's your official nickname for Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine as a hottie tag team? And will they give R.Pattz a run for his money in the screaming-fan dept?
—A.O.

I shall name them Z-Pine, may they live long and prosper in a hotness so extreme it's—I'm gonna say it! I'm gonna say it!—ILLOGICAL. I so said that just now.

Now that I've established all that, your answer is no. The Star Trek heartthrobs—alone or as a combo, with or without a nickname—do not have the same heat as R.Pattz.

Sorry. And it's not just my opinion. My conclusion comes after solid reporting and mercenary research with real live psychologists. Exactly why Robert Pattinson will remain supreme among fanggirls is due to a specific formula that Z-Pine—impressive eyebrows aside—simply lacks.

Lemme break it down for you:

1. Unlike Z-Pine, who look like real grownups who have real sex, R.Pattz—thanks in part to a role as a perpetual teenage vampire—comes off like a kid. A nonsexually threatening kid.

"Like a boy-band member," says Cooper Lawrence, author of The Cult of Celebrity. "[He's] so nonthreatening that it helps girls feel like it's OK to obsess."

2. Edward Cullen. Z-Pine is nice, but Z-Pine never played Edward Cullen. That's a problem.

"He's the personification of this literary character that girls were already obsessed with," says Lawrence. "So they transfer that obsession to him. Nobody went nuts for Pattinson previously."

Neither Kirk nor Spock, in case you haven't noticed, is Edward Cullen.

3. Seriously, did I mention Edward Cullen? "The passion that Edward and Bella share is intense," Lawrence explains. "Like that all-consuming, trite, cliché, teen-girl love where everything is so emotional and so dramatic that they would die without each other."

4. That's about it.

Compare that with Z-Pine, who doubtless enjoy some amount of long-distance passion from geekettes—but not the masses of fainting tweens who have grown obsessed with Twilight.

To catch up with R.Pattz, Z-Pine would need a teen passion franchise of their own. As soon as Z-Pine appears on Team Werewolf, come back to me, and we'll reassess.

Robert Pattinson's ex warning

New Moon star Robert Pattinson isn't scared of girls selling kiss and tells about him.

Robert joked to OK! that he would kill anyone who did decide to sell a story on him.

Rob told the magazine: "I'd kill them! Actually I don't think I've had anything interesting enough to warrant a kiss and tell.

"Although I've been surprised with some acquaintances - they've been saying little things that you hear through the grapevine and you suddenly realise what someone's really like."

Our favourite vampire doesn't have a problem trusting his friends.

He added: "I've had a very close-knit group of friends for a really long time and I know that none of them would ever do anything like that."

Rob doesn't seem to rate himself very highly. When the magazine asked about his ex girlfriends he replied: "I don't think they'd even remember who I am."

New Moon - Robert Pattinson's face following

Robert Pattinson finds it funny that his face is on thousands of t-shirts.

The New Moon star never imagined he would get a second chance after his Harry Potter fame died down.

Rob told Bliss magazine: "It's funny to see my face on t-shirts.

"I don't really see it as me. Luckily, I don't have that much to live up to because I'm playing a broody vampire. I don't have to be clean-cut.

"I am grateful to be part of this massive phenomenon.

"I mean, there are only so many times something like this is going to happen in your life. And I thought I'd had my run with Harry Potter. It's insane."

We think Rob has so much talent that he was always going to get another chance.

We couldn't imagine anyone else playing Edward Cullen.
